Americana Hotel Oceanfront: My Favorite Spot in Ocean City
Right on the Boardwalk
If you’re like me, the first thing you want when booking a beach trip is location. That’s where the Americana Hotel Oceanfront shines. It sits right on the Ocean City Boardwalk, at 10th Street. I loved being able to walk out the front door and instantly hear the hum of the boardwalk—the arcade sounds, kids laughing, and that salty breeze blowing in from the ocean. Even better, the beach was just steps away. No driving. No parking stress. Just sand between my toes in minutes.
Rooms That Feel Made for Families
One of the things I appreciated about the Americana was the room layout. I stayed in an oceanfront room that had two queen beds, a bunk bed, and even a Jacuzzi tub. Talk about space! Families will find it perfect, but honestly, even as a couple, it felt roomy and comfortable.
Every room comes with a balcony, and that was the real highlight. I started my mornings with coffee in hand, watching the sunrise over the Atlantic. It’s one of those little luxuries that makes a trip feel extra special.
If you want something more upscale, there’s a Penthouse Oceanfront Suite on the seventh floor. It has a king bed, Jacuzzi, and views that stretch forever. I peeked at it during my stay and thought, “Next time, that’s mine.”
Pool Days and Easy Dining
Yes, the beach is the main attraction, but I found the pool to be a nice escape when I wanted a break from the sand. It’s big enough to cool off, and it’s especially nice if you have kids who want to splash without dealing with waves.
Food was another plus. I ate at Hammerheads Bar & Grill one night, and it hit the spot—casual, tasty, and right there on-site. The Crush Bar is great if you just want a drink in hand without leaving the hotel. Sometimes after a long day in the sun, it’s nice not to wander too far.
Why I’d Stay Here Again
For me, the real magic of the Americana Hotel Oceanfront is how easy it makes a trip to Ocean City. You’re in the middle of everything. Walk left and you’re in the heart of boardwalk shops. Walk right and you find amusement rides. Or, just sit on your balcony and soak in the view.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean. It’s not overly fancy, but that’s part of the charm. It feels like a classic beach hotel—one that’s been part of Ocean City for years, welcoming families, couples, and groups of friends.
Final Thoughts
If you want a hotel where the beach is your backyard and the boardwalk is your front porch, Americana Hotel Oceanfront is it. It’s simple, comfortable, and right where all the fun happens. For me, it checked every box: location, views, space, and that laid-back beach-town vibe.
Next time I head to Ocean City, I already know where I’ll be staying.
