The SWFL Live Eagle Cam was set up by Dick Pritchett Real Estate. They wanted to create an educational experience by showcasing the eagles in their natural habitat. The Eagles’ Nest
The nest, labeled LE026-B by the Florida State Monitoring Program, has been home to this eagle pair for over a decade. The eagles moved the nest to its current location in 2007. Over the years, they have added to it, making it about eight feet in diameter. The nest is close to the Caloosahatchee River, where the eagles catch most of their food, including fish like Mullet and Catfish. They sometimes hunt small rodents too.
